Howdy!

Steve E. suggested I take a few moments to say Howdy and I try to follow suggestions from the "oldtimers" so HOWDY! ... All is well in my world....One thing that's great in my world is, it is small. I remember when I first got to AA everything seemed so BIG! and BIG meant overwhelming. Gradually, through a program of action, things seem small today. All I have is what is right in front of me. I need to keep that especially clear during this holiday season.

So I think I will hit a church service this morning...maybe even 2 (i'm trying to decide between 2 churches if I decide to become a church person). Then decorate the Christmas tree..joy...then pay the bills..not so much joy......and gather paperwork for a refinace....really not joy but will lead to peace.....a little online shopping.....then make the chicken soup for dinner....a typical day if you swap out church for AA meeting....

so Howdy to y'all! xo

How refreshing to read you this morning as I was hoping to be able to do! Thank you. especially because you write what we are all needing to hear, namely that we ARE all alike in many ways. Church-AA, Put up decorations-Tree, Pay Bills, less Joy, Refinance work-Leading to Less Stress, Shopping, Chicken Soup, and finally, a final "HOWDY! (I'm fine, Peeps!).

THERE! I've written my blog for tonight, thanks to you...just kidding--but it could well have been.

LOVE your tree decorating, BTW. and the photo....

Howdy ho neighbor. I may turn up at mtg this week since I'm off except for Friday. Am trying to settle my mother into a routine, we were both up early today so I could probably have made a clean getaway but I wasn't ready!

Thanks for the howdy! And howdy back! In Texas again and hoping your snow is not too deep. My goodness, what a storm. Brings back thoughts of coping with snow in Jersey not so long ago. Have a wonderful white Christmas! J.

Thanks for the post...and the Howdy with checking in.
Yes, the AA world can seem so large, but once one gets it narrowed down...all the better
Be careful not to make it too small.
Isolation is a tricky thing.

Kathy-Lynn, I thought I saw a comment or two of yours today, but cannot remember where. So I decided to "visit" you, and see a date of December 13, 2009. Hey, this is Amost MARCH 2010, girl...time to hear from you again. unless I've missed a change in your URL or something.

Anyway, you ARE thought of now and then, OK, Peep?

Just a reminder, Kathy Lynn, that you have friends out here in blog land who hope life is treating you well...OR, that YOU are treating LIFE!

Anyway, thinking of you, and thought I'd drop in, OK?

Gonna ride my scooter up the east coast again in August and September...don't know if I can make it as far as NH (or wherever you're living)...but Richmond VA may be again my turn-around point. This is my second annual "Freedom Ride" (That's MY freedom, not freedom for the world, etc.)

Hey, stay well...and happy!

Did you know you were the first Peep to comment on my blog two years ago?

I had written four or five with NO comments, and then one--from Kathy-Lynn...Soooo, You ARE special to me!
